Math Quotes

If people do not believe that mathematics is simple, it is only because they do not realize how complicated life is.

My Online Journey!

It happened one night when I was nothing to do but to look at the monitor and think of something that would make me busy. Upon looking at the opened tab -- facebook, gmail, twitter, freelancer, odesk, porn (haha) and the likes were there. Oops, I also opened warcraft -- this game rocks!

Anyways, back to the topic -- when I opened my gmail, lots of messages were coming from odesk saying "A job you applied to was closed". I don't bother a lot. I'm so used to it! However, something is pushing me not to stop, to apply again, thinking of something good might happen -- because I know I'm capable of having it so. Good thing, I have these attitude of being curious. On that note, I still continue searching for jobs -- odesk outsourcing jobs. I usually try my luck at the research field because aside from my being curiousness, I'm confident with it. On my searching, I found a job posting about internet researching, with details that fit my qualifications. One good thing is that, the employer looks for Filipino workers. Without much further a do, I sent my cv. After a couple of minutes, I was surprised for having a message on my inbox. A message from the employer asking me to add him on skype. Of course, as a job seeker, I immediately add him on my contact list.     He started interrogating me and I'm making it sure to respond him well. He asked about my previous online job experiences and I answered back with humility. He then offered me the job and gave me sample tests. I just answered all the tests without thinking what might happen. All I know is that I just did it well. After the tests, I guess he was surprised as well with my answers. He even asked me how I do it. And I just said what I just did. On that note, he then asked me if I can handle a full time job. As he said it, I sensed this might be the one. It's a great opportunity for me since I have lots of vacant time. He then offered me a contract. A internet-research contract in which I will be under training as a team lead. I wasn't expecting it. I just thought I will only be a researcher, but training as a team lead is also a great chance. And the contract started with my eagerness to learn and to enjoy my new found online job.

The work is just purely internet research. It's not that hard since my boss is always there guiding me. During my training, he used to teach me how to train as well -- on how to do research as well to be part of my team. And I can't even imagine how would I handle a team. But with the training, I may be able to catch things out. Anything can happen. Anything really could happen. I have this first trainee, and sounds good she's a Filipino. I just used our language for the training. She understands me well and with her, comes my very first team member. She does well and I'm so loving it. Everything goes fine then. My boss gave me more trainees and my team is getting bigger and hopefully getting better.

With these things, I haven't observed I'm doing it for weeks. And I haven't feel I'm doing the team leading thing. I'm surprised I just did it. I almost forgot, I'm still under trial. But it's a good experience. I then asked my boss how's my training. He just said he likes me and that I'm smart. Wooh, that words goes clean down to my bones. And my being a team leader continues! I'm loving the team and I made a good working relationship with them.

I had have online jobs before, but I could not ask for more having this. This may be the best thing happened to me -- online. And that whatever happens in the future, I will never forget this online journey!
